Fraudulent check causes bank to close account
:
"I would like to know why I am being held responsible for a check that I deposited in Bank of America. I never received any money from the bank, because I didn't have enough money in my account to cover the check. This check was sent to me from a company called Mystique Shopper Inc. I found this job posted in the Charlotte Sun. I was to cash this check and then start shopping for this company. It turned out to be a fraudulent check. Now my bank account is closed. Also, I can't receive the $500 that was put into my account by my son. The monies are being held back pending investigation. This is not my fault." -- Claire Zicchinelli/Caggiano, Port Charlotte.
